Mission: Inspection was a success

This week at Pathfinders, an area coordinator from Charlotte came here to inspect our club and the way that we run the program.  There are 10 areas that are inspected in a typical inspection: drilling and marching, opening ceremonies, devotion, classwork, uniform, courtesy of the kids, etc.  Everyone showed up in their Class A uniform (though some were late) and were polite to the leader and paid full attention.  We started with the opening exercises (pathfinder pledge and law, aim and motto, pledge to flag, song, prayer, and devotional), then went down to the gym for the uniform and marching inspection.  We scored perfect 10 on the uniforms but scored lower on the marching because some of the kids turned the wrong way one time. Then, the kids started the Flower arranging honor and constructing things for the younger kids to use at the Seventh Day Adventist camp in NC.  In the end, we had the kids say the pathfinder pledge and law in Spanish.  Overall out of 100 we scored 101 because we got some bonus points for the spanish and other miscellaneous things.  I have talked with the director and I will be teaching the Heredity (genetics and inheritance) Honor sometime in the near future to the older kids.  I am preparing by reading what I need to know and refreshing on the basics that I need to teach.  I will have a definite date soon.
